Dr. Lora Mize is a board certified specialist in women’s health physical therapy and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004 from the University of Central Arkansas. She has worked as a clinician devoted to women’s health and pelvic rehabilitation for 11 years and is now working in academia at the University of Central Arkansas’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. She has been an instructor for the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Section on Women’s Health (SoWH), teaching in the area of pelvic health for many years and has served on the Board of Directors as Vice-President and as the Director of Education. She has previously served on the SoWH’s Pelvic Health Committee as the Assistant Chair where she authored and reviewed course materials for the pelvic health course curriculum. Outside multiple conference presentations in the United States, she has instructed internationally in Japan, St. Lucia, at the ICS meeting in Florence, Italy and at the IUGA Annual Meeting in Vienna, Austria. She has administrated a yearly service trip to St. Lucia Special Education Schools and has created study abroad coursework on for PT curricula. She practices pro bono physical therapy services at her academic institution.
