Alice is a UK based physiotherapist who has a BSc in Physiotherapy, Diploma in Tropical Healthcare and MSc Humanitarian Programme Management.  She followed her passion for global health and has been working for a number of years with international organisations and the UK Emergency Medical Team to respond to emergencies; both conflict and non-conflict settings. Roles have been as varied as physiotherapy trainer in rural clinics, to providing direct support at Ministry of Health level to co-ordinate rehabilitation actors post emergency. 

For the past 2 years Alice has been based in the UK and enjoyed the role of Chair of ADAPT – the Professional Network for Physiotherapists working in International Health and Development.   She has supported the organisation of several conferences encompassing topics such as physiotherapy in humanitarian settings, rehabilitation for aging populations and more recently the topic of rehabilitation for refugees, asylum seekers and migrant populations.

Recent conference presentations include World Extreme Medicine Conference, European Emergency Medicine Conference, and several UK University Physiotherapy programmes as a guest speaker.  Significant publications include co-editor of ‘Rehabilitation in Sudden onset Disasters’ and she has recently contributed to the recent WCPT briefing paper on the role of physiotherapists in disaster management.
