Dr.
Suh-Fang Jeng is Associate Dean of College of Medicine and Professor of School
and Graduate Institute of Physical Therapy at National Taiwan University in
Taiwan. She is also the Chairperson of World Confederation for Physical Therapy
(WCPT)- Asia Western Pacific Region (AWP) and Executive Board of Taiwan Physical
Therapy Association (TPTA). Dr. Jeng’s domestic advocacy efforts include the establishment
of the first independent physical therapy department at medical center in 2007
to enhance professional autonomy in Taiwan and the initiation as well as preparation
of education reform to render a successful launch of entry-level Doctor of
Physical Therapy Program at National Taiwan University and National Yang-Ming
University in 2016. Dr. Jeng’s international services include the Editorial
Board of Physical Therapy, the Associate
Editor of Pediatric Physical Therapy,
and the Principle Investigator of the WCPT-TPTA Collaboration of PEDS Project
that provides training courses to pediatric physical therapists and pediatricians
from six south Asian countries on early assessment and intervention for
high-risk infants to enhance the health and wellness of children. Dr. Jeng’s specialty
is pediatric physical therapy and has published more than 110 journal articles.
She has received several awards for pediatric services, academic performance
and student involvement in research.
