Aline Bouffandeau is an emergency rehabilitation specialist for Humanity & Inclusion (HI), providing technical support to Emergency programs in Iraq, South Sudan and Libya.

After being graduated from the Physiotherapist school in Rennes (France) in 2008, Aline practiced for 6 years in the private sector in the Indian Ocean. She started working for “Kinésithérapeutes du Monde” in 2015. For 1,5 years she was in charge of the capacity building of rehabilitation staff (rehabilitation workers and physiotherapists) in 3 public hospitals in Comoros, where people are migrating to Mayotte to receive better health care.

Aline started then to work with HI, in Haiti after Matthew hurricane, where people were injured and displaced.  As a technical advisor, Aline was responsible for the quality of the integrated rehabilitation services delivered to the affected population.

After 6 months in Haiti, she went in Iraq, first as a technical advisor for Mosul projects and then as Rehabilitation coordinator for the full program. She worked there for 1,5 years to improve access to services to affected population, strengthen the capacity of existing structures to answer to the needs of displaced population and coordinate with authorities to promote rehabilitation in the health system.
