How to use the Wordly translation service
World Physiotherapy is committed to improving inclusion and access to information for physiotherapists around the world.
As part of this commitment, the World Physiotherapy Congress 2021 online will, for the first time, provide a translation service. The official language for congress is English but the translation service will use artificial intelligence to give participants the opportunity to see and hear real time translations in a number of languages. People with hearing loss will be able to use the real time transcription.
Provision of the translation service is included in the registration fee and there will be no additional cost for participants using the service.
The translation service will be available during the live event, 9-11 April, but will not be available during networking sessions or for on demand content.
Participants will be able to access translations in:

- Bengali
- Chinese (simplified and traditional)
- Dutch
- English
- French
- German
- Hindi
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Spanish
- Tamil
- Vietnamese
This is new and emerging technology in the field of artificial intelligence and simultaneous translation. The translations may not be perfect but are designed to enhance participants’ experience and improve inclusion. By using the translation service, participants will have the chance to contribute to the development of the service for future events.
