Information and resources for chairs and speakers

Chair and speaker support

Presenting at an international congress is a new experience for many people. Now that the congress is online it will be a different presenting experience for most of us. Delivering sessions, preparing presentations and recording them, are different to an in-person experience where you have an audience in front of you.

We want our chairs, speakers and all participants to get the most from the experience and we are therefore providing tailored training opportunities and resources for chairs and speakers.

Webinar series to support chairs and speakers

Speakers: these webinars will help you to prepare for your presentation and provide you with tips and suggestions on creating and delivering an engaging presentation.

Chairs: these webinars will give you confidence in managing the session, getting the most out of your speakers and ensuring that the audience contribution is welcomed and adds value.

We have webinars to support the different session formats. They will be interactive, and you will find it useful if you attend “live”. Each webinar will be run twice, at different times. However, if you are not able to attend they will be recorded and shared with you. These are not presentations/chairing lectures - come to the session ready to work!

We really encourage everyone to attend a webinar as there will be valuable Q&A time included. This training is separate and in addition to any technical rehearsals you will be invited to attend.
