Dr. Bushra Alsakkaf is a medical doctor qualified from Aden Medical University, Aden, Yemen. I have been working with the ICRC Physical Rehabilitation Programme as a national staff since 2018. I have worked in various health institutions and local organizations in Aden after
qualification as a practitioner and as a volunteer.
My special interest towards the people with disabilities have dragged me into the ICRC as the most recognized humanitarian agency and physical rehabilitation service provider in the region affected by conflict and the dire situation exacerbated by poverty, lack of quality health care and poor access. I have quickly learned the functioning and approach of the PRP with special focus on handling the social inclusion files for PwDs.
