Maarten de Wit (1961) PhD, has been active in organisations of patients with rheumatic diseases at local, national and international level for more than 20 years. Maarten has psoriatic arthritis since 1975 and is an active member of the EULAR Standing Committee of People with Arthritis/Rheumatism in Europe (PARE). In 2014 Maarten defended his doctoral thesis “Patient participation in rheumatology research.” at the VU University, Amsterdam. He is chair of the EULAR study group for collaborative research and a key contributor to the development of knowledge translation strategies.
