Dr Nedkoff is a cardiovascular epidemiologist and public health researcher in the Cardiovascular Research Group at The University of Western Australia. She is an NHMRC Early Career Research Fellow, and a member of the Executive of the Allied Health, Science and Technology Council of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. She has been awarded multiple local and national grants totalling over $10million. She is a qualified clinical physiotherapist, having spent over a decade working in acute and rehabilitation settings in the public hospital sector. She currently leads a research program encompassing population studies of cardiovascular disease epidemiology while also investigating cardiovascular disease trends in vulnerable population groups. Dr Nedkoff collaborates with government departments nationally to inform methods and approaches for monitoring the burden of cardiovascular disease in Australia, and has undertaken multi-country comparative analyses of trends in cardiovascular diseases to determine the impact of primary and secondary prevention programs both locally and internationally.
