Ann G. Nicholson PT, DPT, MSc, OCS, MTC
Ann is a physical therapist trained in the United States and has spent the last 3 years traveling to Tajikistan to assist in the upscaling of rehabilitation within the country. She has worked with World Health Organization (WHO), Humanity & Inclusion (HI) and World Physiotherapy on various programs focusing on the development of physical therapy and rehabilitation in low resource settings. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in the United States and a Master of Science (MSc) in Global Health and Development from UCL in London, UK. Ann is board certified in orthopedics (OCS) from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is manual therapist certified (MTC). In addition to her previous role as an adjunct faculty member at The George Washington University in Washington D.C, USA, Ann has lectured at numerous universities in the United States and abroad, educating on the role of physical therapy in global health and within health systems. While her work has focused on the Central Asian and Northern African regions, she is an advocate for universal healthcare for all, equal access to rehabilitation and the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities globally.
