Sheraeva, Parvona

Parvona is a physical therapist from Tajikistan who received her BSc in Physical Therapy at Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Manipal, India. Upon finishing her education, Parvona became the first person in Tajikistan to receive a degree in a physical therapy. She works as an outpatient/inpatient physical therapist at Shifobakhsh Hospital in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in a new rehabilitation facility built with the assistance of Turkish Aid. In addition to her work at the hospital, Parvona leads the teaching of the new physical therapy education program at the Republican Medical College (RMC) to assist in the education new students and in the creation of the profession. Parvona has worked with World Health Organization (WHO) and UCP Wheels to establish the profession of physical therapy in Tajikistan.
