Shirley Eberlein graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1998 and has worked in rehabilitation, particularly of those who have suffered a spinal cord affliction, for the best part of the last 20 years. She has served on the SASCA Committee (Southern African Spinal Cord Association) for many years and is passionate about this field of rehabilitation. She has a special interest in using aquatic physiotherapy techniques as part of the rehabilitation programme for those with spinal cord affliction and is also currently a member of the IOAPT committee (International Organisation of Aquatic Physical Therapists), a sub group of World Physiotherapy.
