Dr. Suh-Fang Jeng obtained her doctoral degree of Applied Kinesiology from Boston University in the USA in 1993. Dr. Jeng is the Chairperson of World Physiotherapy- Asia Western Pacific (AWP) region, Professor of School and Graduate Institute of Physical Therapy at National Taiwan University, Executive Board of Taiwan Physical Therapy Association (TPTA), Associate Editor of Pediatric Physical Therapy, and Editorial Board of Physical Therapy Journal. She served as the Associate Dean of National Taiwan University College of Medicine, President of TPTA, and AWP treasurer. Her areas of expertise include early assessment and intervention of high-risk infants, professional promotion and advocacy, and international collaboration. Dr. Jeng has dedicated in neonatal care (i.e., training program of neonatologists and pediatric physical therapists in six South Asian countries), education and professional advancement (i.e., preparation and launch of entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program and advocacy of legislative amendment for direct access in Taiwan), regional networking and collaboration (i.e., organization of national and regional congresses, and enhancement of regional physical Therapy education), and disaster/pandemic management (i.e., Japan 311 earthquake, Taiwan Bali explosion event, and COVID-19 pandemic). To date, she has procured 30 research grants and has published 125 peer-reviewed journal articles and 115 conference papers.
