Bio
Nirit is head of the physiotherapy department at the Tel Aviv Souraski Medical center. She is a member of the professional practice group of the European region of the WCPT, a member of the National Council for the Advancement of Women in Science and Technology and former chairwoman of the Israeli Physiotherapy Society.
Nirit teaches at the Sport Medicine program at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine in Tel Aviv university, in continuing education courses for physiotherapists and participated as an invited speaker at national and international conferences.
Nirit published research on motor learning in sport rehabilitation and cognitive bias in physiotherapy and is currently engaged in research in sport and in oncology rehabilitation.
As an avid proponent of knowledge translation using online platforms, Nirit is the administrator of a large Facebook group dedicated to issues in physiotherapy called PTdebate and an online discussion forum.
Through out her career Nirit has been and still is a practicing clinician.
