de Gale, Stacy

Dr. Stacy de Gale is a Trinbagonian physiotherapist who is a global leader in physiotherapy. She currently sits on the Executive Board of World Physiotherapy and has devoted her professional life to advancing the profession in every corner of the globe. This is evident in her advocacy work as board member of World Physio, eight years of service as Chair of the North America Caribbean Region; varying roles as president, secretary, PRO of the Physiotherapy Association of Trinidad and Tobago, member of the Physiotherapists' Board of Trinidad and Tobago. Stacy is also a health and wellness practitioner, physiotherapy consultant with 20 years’ of experience. Her areas of expertise are in orthopedics, wellness and global health. Having graduated from the School of Physical Therapy in Jamaica, she proceeded to complete her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy with Utica College of New York, USA. Dr. de Gale continues to be an advocate for improving physiotherapy and rehabilitative services in the Caribbean. Her continued education, years of mentoring physiotherapy students, guest lecturing for universities, NGO’s; and networking with medical personnel globally have all contributed to her passion and knowledge to heal, while earning her the nickname of "voice for the small country".
