Bio
Oka is a Physiotherapy Clinician, Manager and Master's student of Samoan and Tongan heritage who lives and practices on the sunny East Coast of Aotearoa New Zealand. His special interests are in issues related to Pacific Peoples health, Paediatric Physiotherapy and Higher Education. Oka is the first Pasifika Clinical Leader of Physiotherapy at a District Health Board in Aotearoa New Zealand. He is also currently studying towards his Master of Physiotherapy degree and is a recipient of a Health Research Council Pacific Health Masters Award. His research is focussed on exploring culturally responsive approaches to Physiotherapy when working with Pacific children in Aotearoa New Zealand. Oka is the Chair of the Pasifika Physiotherapists Association - an association of Pacific Physiotherapists in Aotearoa New Zealand and the wider Pacific. This is his first World Physiotherapy Congress.
