Dr. Christopher Cesario is the Senior Director of Clinical Education and an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Movement & Rehabilitation Sciences at Northeastern University in Boston, MA (USA). Dr. Cesario holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, a Masters of Business Administration and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Dr. Cesario teaches administrative topics that affect physical therapy, focusing on leadership, administrative issues and business principles. He has also redesigned the clinical education matching process to be more holistic, using data from both students and clinical partners to find the best matches for all stakeholders. His research focuses on clinical education, global experiences in physical therapist education and diversity/equity/inclusion. His most recent presentation was at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting focusing on the use of manual therapy techniques by students while during clinical education. He also has been awarded a grant that will be used to provide simulation training to clinical instructors about being more inclusive with members of the LGBTQ community. His clinical practice was primarily in outpatient orthopedics & sports medicine, with additional experience in acute care, subacute rehab and home care.
