Professor Witness Mudzi is the Director of the Postgraduate School at the University of the Free State. He joined the University of the Free State from the University of the Witwatersrand where he worked for close to 14 years. He was the Deputy President and President of the South African Society of Physiotherapy between 2016 and 2021. He holds a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand, has published more than 35 articles in peer reviewed journals, has supervised to completion more than 20 MSc students and has also supervised to completion PhD students. His most recent publication is titled: Prevalence of concurrent headache and temporomandibular disorders: a systematic review protocol. JBI Evid Synth 2021: 19(1): 263 – 269. In 2019 at WCPT Geneva, Switzerland, he participated in a Panel Discussion titled: The workforce in a changing environment. At WCPT Cape Town in 2017, he participated in a seminar presentation titled: Stroke prevention. His research interest include Adult neurology with specific focus on stroke, head injuries and spinal cord injuries, and paediatric neurology. He also has research interest in Higher Education and Public Health. He has clinical experience in adult and paediatric neurology which spans over 24 years.
