Ms Busuttil is a physiotherapist and Manager at the Court Services Agency. She has an M.Sc. in Health Services Management and her research interests are regulatory issues, social media practices, cross-border healthcare, and public health. She is the Executive Committee member on the Executive Board of the European Region of World Physiotherapy. She has served as President (2019-2021) of the Malta Association of Physiotherapists and was the Chief Executive Officer of the association (2007 - 2015). She was a working group member of the European Union Matters Working Group of the European Region of WCPT (2012-2016) and collaborated on the CEO group of the WCPT between 2010 and 2015. She has led a task-force to explore the role of physiotherapists in schools and has co-ordinated a national study on obesity that was held in Malta through the Ministry for Education and Employment. She was employed with the Social Care Standards Authority and the Ministry for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties. Ms Busuttil has led the Malta Association of Physiotherapists to promote the role of physiotherapists within the LGBTIQ+ community during Pride Malta and she collaborated in the development of the Policy Statement named "Diversity and Inclusion".
