Degree in Physiotherapy by the Escola Superior Saude do Instituto Politecnico de Setubal (ESS-IPS) in Portugal.
Posgraduate in Water Activities and MSc in Exercise and Wellness by the Universidade Lusófona.
Board member of the Aquatic Physiotherapy Interest Group (GIFA) from the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists (APFISIO) since 2009 and from the Pediatric Physiotherapy Interest Group (GIFIP) since 2012.
Since 2005 works in Aquatic Physiotherapy with older people and children with several diseases and disabilities, giving individual support and group
classes.
Organized several courses and workshops of Aquatic Physiotherapy and was a speaker at various courses, conferences and workshops in
this area, and earned the title of "best young investigator" in 2 internacional congresses. Presenter in the WCPT Congress 2015 in Singapore.
Chair of the Aquatic Physical Therapy networking session in the WCPT Congress 2017 in Cape Town and in the WCPT Congress 2019 in
Geneva.
Founder and President of the International Organisation of Aquatic Physical Therapists - IOAPT (a WCPT subgroup) since 2019.
Publication of a paper titled "Results of an Aquatic Exercise Program on Balance, Risk of Falls, Fear of Falling, and Quality of Live in Older Adults" in "The Journal of Aquatic Physical Therapy, and others in national magazines.
