Otieno Martin Ong’wen is a passionate physiotherapist from Nairobi Kenya, with specialty training in the several areas, including Pain Science Education, Orthopedic Manual Therapy, and Rehabilitation. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Kenya Association of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Martin is an Educator at the Kenya Medical Training College in the Higher Diploma and Orthopedic Manual Therapy program and was the first ever Mentor in Kenya to provide clinical Mentorship all over the country to practicing Physiotherapists. He is also the Clinical Director of AfyaBora Mashinani, a project that facilitate medical camps in rural parts of Kenya with a focus on the treatment of non-threatening (Musculoskeletal) Diseases as well as providing the locals with self-management strategies. He has been a champion of Continuous Medical Education in Kenya that bridges the gap in evidence based practice and quality service provision in Kenya. He is also a visiting Lecturer to different Universities in Europe and the United Kingdom and was a keynote speaker at the TheBigRs conference on ''Reforming Musculoskeletal practice'' in the United Kingdom. He has also been a contributor to the World Confederation of Physical Therapists on the use of clinical guidelines on the management of Musculoskeletal diseases.
