Asst. prof. dr. Tine Kovačič; worked as a head of medicine and rehabilitation department almost 20 years, providing NDT treatment, hippotherapy etc. to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), providing sport physiotherapy to athletes with IDD in Special Olympcis (SO). He finished his MSC PT in 2003 in UeL (UK);PhD
in Social Gerontology in 2019 at Alma Mater Europaea - European centre Maribor (AMEU
ECM);His postgraduate education includes training in various methods of
rehabilitation of neurological diseases (PNF, NDT, Hippotherapy, etc.) as well
as other seminars such as Myofascial Release and Motor Activities Training
Programme, Motor Control and Motor Learning, etc.. He serves as a clinical
director of Fun Fitness - PT program for SO Slovenia and as a clinical advisor
for Fun fitness in Europe Euroasia region. He is an Associate Professor for
undergraduate PT, MSc and PhD Physiotherapy programs at AMEU ECM.
Currently he is the president of Slovenian Association of Physiotherapists.
Throughout his career as a PT clinican and educator he has taken part in
lectures at many conferences worldwide and has published a significant number
of research articles, most recently in Journal of intellectual disability
