Nihad Almasri, PT, MSc, PhD is a Professor in pediatric physiotherapy at the University of Jordan. She holds MSc in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh (USA) and a PhD in Pediatric Rehabilitation from Drexel University (USA). She has served as department head, dean assistant, and recently as the dean of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan. Dr. Almasri works as a consultant physiotherapist for rehabilitation centers of children with disabilities in Jordan, in addition to the World Health Organization, the World Physiotherapy, and Humanity & inclusion (HI). Additionally, Dr. Almasri provides consultation to evaluate educational entry-level physiotherapy programs in LMIC's both in Jordan and abroad. Dr. Almasri research is focused on evaluating rehabilitation services for children with disabilities, developing culturally appropriate outcome measures, providing family-centered care for children with disabilities, and developing/implementing surveillance and follow-up registries for children with disabilities in Jordan. She has many publications in peer-reviewed journals and runs many grants with national and international funds in Jordan.
